People are bad a texting. Not all, but a lot. Some people also have a hard time with connect people they have lost touch with because of the awkward "its been so long." And I am sure everyone has heard the classic "yeah we should do _blank_ sometime," but everyone knows that means I will pretend like I never saw you. Those problems are now solved.

Orloom is a social organizing app. It is not social media. Orloom allows you to check if your friends are busy and create events to invite your friends, all with the click of buttons and not through text. There is no in app chat at all.

Now at this point you must be thinking, this guy is crazy you need to the ability to chat with someone to relay important information such as I am allergic to seafood or last time I went to that festival I was chased by by a guy in a minotaur suit, how can you possibly relay that sort of information through just simple buttons and not via something similar to texting.

No worries, I am not suggesting you quit texting. I am suggestion that Orloom is an easy way to start and commit to a conversation about meeting up and taking advantage of the friends you already have.

FEATURES/WAYS TO USE.

1. The Person Who Never Plans (aka the Wanderer)
If you live in the present and is always wondering what is happening right now dont worry. You are able to send anonymous Are you free? notifications to your friends which could include an activity as well. If they do not respond that they might be free within a certain time it means they are busy and we will notify you if thats the case. You can also create an event that starts right now and make it Open so all you friends can see it and send out invites to people. And finally you are able to check the events page to see if any cool fun things are happening right now with your friends that you can join.

2. The Planner (aka the One Who Brings out their calendar for everything)
You are able to schedule events in the future...... yeah that one is pretty simple.

3. Local Life
The last main feature is public groups. You are able to create and subscribe to local group. If you are a leader of a group or in a leaderless group you are able to create events for that group and when made everyone who subscribes to that group will be notified. Great for clubs, and organizations trying to get their communities involved. Also a great way to see whats going on around you.

Events are easy to create. Click create event and all you have to do is choose an activity to make an event. Of course generally others prefer you choose a place and time as well or else you probably wont be seeing anyone. You can also select a group type. Open means your friends and any friends who join friends can see it. Semi-open means only the creators friends can see it. And Private means invite only. You can also select a local group and it will send invites to everyone who is a subscriber.

Have fun doing REAL things with people are dont get too distracted by the faux virtual world of social media.
